Grand Marshal List
from PrideHouston.org

In recent years the Honorary GM title has shifted to that of Ally GM

That year Pride honored all past Grand Marshal, some shown above
and previous to this they did not get medallions, so to make up for
it many were distributed at that time is a special ceremony

Above, for some there was the perception that Lawrence & Garner were official Honorary Grand Marshals
for the Parade. This was not the case. Then Pride President Nick Brines explains: “They were honored
with a placement at the front of the parade as the court decision happened two days prior. It was such a
big deal we absolutely had to include them. We did not bestow a grand marshal title, however. If memory
serves me correct, we created a “Presidents Award” as an excuse to put them at the very front. Really it
did not matter What we called them, it was a community expectation that they be included and we really
deserved to put them at the very front of the parade regardless of the title. But we did not use the term
grand marshal for them."
