1979 March on Washington
for Lesbian & Gay Rights
October 14, 1979
Photo Gallery - Page 15

These photos were borrowed from the Botts Collection, and then digitized. They were taken
by Larry Butler. I need some help in identifying many of the people in them, especially some
of the pre-March rally speakers and performers, which is why I have numbered them.
If you can ID someone, please
email me with the name and photo number. Thanks!

Photos I took of the MOW

There were a lot of speakers and performers at the Rally,
I could use some help identifying some of them, the ones
notated "unknown." I have three references that helped me
get clues for some, a programming description from the
Pacifica Archives, and a listing from the MOW program,
though it could not reflect changes that weekend.

My third reference was a detailed review of the rally, which
appeared in the Nov 1979 issue of Our Own Community
press, of which I happened to have been editor at that time.
And of course the photographer may not have taken shots of
every speaker or performer. So, if you can ID someone please
email me the photo number and info.

Above left, I have been informed by one of the organizers that Morris Kight was not a speaker and did not participate in the march.
