The Cockatoo and the Tropicana Swim Club

Neither of these Houston businesses lasted long, but interesting to see them
featured in a major gay magazine. Cockatoo was at 3400 Travis, earlier homes
of Hi Kamp, and the After Dark Book Shop, and the Tropicana Swim Club, and was at 2114 Peckham

As they were a private club, there are no ads for me to show,
and they were seldom mentioned in TWT, and all in 82-83
