Begun in NYC in 1992, it spread to cities all over the country and even worldwide.
Their website and google can get you a lot farther, but I have gathered the Texas
presence of the group that I could find in Texas LGBT media. Most of the state
activity by far was in Austin, some in Houston, none elsewhere in Texas.
Action was heaviest in Austin in 1996.

When did the groups in Austin and Houston end?
Houston meeting place Toopees closed in late 1999,
so that may have signaled the end.
