Homosexual Nest in Austin!

It seems in 1944 the University of Texas (Austin) had a Homosexual Nest....
...and the University President was forced to resign for not being diligent in
weeding them out. I spent some time at the newspapers-com site and
this story was reported all over the country, with surprising little info about
the 'nest' itself, they were all fixated on the school president's alleged inaction.
I wanted to hear about the nest!
