Norfolk Trip
2/25/24 to 3/1/24

It was great to visit my old stomping grounds, where I came out in 1978.
Professor Cathleen Rhodes of Old Dominion University invited me to give
a book talk and it went very well. Held on Feb 27 we packed the room and
I was very pleased. This is the first time I added a slideshow element to my
presentation, and that was well received. And there's a VIDEO!

Part of the event was a panel discussion with Dr Charles Ford, a noted
historian, and Scott Wyatt, a close friend who lived part of those Norfolk
years with me. A further treat was also in the audience was Fred Osgood
and John Chappell, also mentioned in the book. And then I sold and signed
a few books, very cool.

Later in the week a get-together was held for me at the Virginia Beach Church.
My last visit to Norfolk was in 2003 so this was my first time seeing
most of these folks since then, for a couple of them much longer.
