And, some Big changes...

Parade, No Festival

Naturally, there was some community reaction, such as this post from Dan Cato

Grand Marshals are generally chosen from nominations submitted
from the community, and former GMS are invited to meet to review
the nominations received and select those who will run.
The Pride Board does Not select who runs, and the process generally
works quite well. As a GM (in 2014) I have been glad to join in the
meetings. They are held in mid-January. The nominees are announced
shortly thereafter, and voting runs for a couple months.

Except for this year...
organizing was slow, quite slow, and the meeting was not held until
April 12, with nominees and voting announced May 12.
Voting ends June 1, recipients announced June 4. This is a Much
shorter voting timeframe...but, I always thought that span was way too long.

Logo and Theme was announced May 12

GM Nominees

If it means anything, I think the slate of those running is very good.
