Texas Lesbian Conferences
1988 to 2004

From the 1989 TLC flyer:
The first TLC was held in Dallas in May 1988 and was hosted by the groups Lesbian Visionaries
and Among Friends. It featured keynote speeches by feminist theorist Sonia Johnson and
NJ attorney and chair of the Lesbian Task Force of NOW, Rosemary Dempsey.

The emphasis of the conference is to bring together women of all races, economic backgrounds,
religions and ages to share in our lives as women who love women.

A total of sixteen conferences were held between 1988 and 2004, featuring workshops, keynote speakers,
entertainment and a whole lot of networking.

I thank Arden Eversmeyer of LOAF (Lesbians Over the Age of Fifty, Houston) for providing access
to her files on the conferences. In most cases the programs were available, and in a few,
just flyers and articles. If you an provide scans of additional information, missing programs, etc,
I would be most appreciative to be able to add them to this data.
(In several instances, when I did not have a program to scan
I cobbled together a cover image to represent that year)

a cruise from Galveston to Cozumel, with Michele Balan set to perform
