Early History

There is so little in print about the first four years of HATCH that I have cropped
out of three articles the meat of what little there is. The full articles appear
chronologically below. The first is from 11/27/92 and the second from a larger
story from 5/3/96, and the third from a Chamber newsletter from October 1998.

A "quiet existence" may have been desired, as they were figuring
out how to be visible as a service and also protective of closeted teens
